On Thursday, April 10, our colleagues Amy Caspers and Marion van den Broek will be guests at the Brainport Industries Campus in honor of Girls Day 2025. 150 girls from the region will be attending this event. The goal? To inspire more girls to pursue a career in technology!
Across the Netherlands, tech companies will open their doors on April 10 to introduce girls aged 10 to 15 to science, technology, and IT. This gives them a chance to explore the (manufacturing) industry and increases the likelihood that they’ll consider a career in technology.
Amy has been working at Wilting for over 2.5 years and recently made an internal move from the Quality department to the role of 3D Operator: “I enjoy constantly learning new things and love working with my hands. My current role combines both. At Wilting, and especially in my department, there are many exciting developments taking place. It’s rewarding and challenging to be part of that.”
Marion started her career as a machine operator, then progressed to a buyer role, and has been working as a tactical buyer at Wilting since 2023. “My role isn’t strictly technical anymore, but I’m still amazed every day by all the incredible things we produce at Wilting. I’m responsible for purchasing raw materials, which means I’m often around the machines and materials. What I love about Wilting is that, despite the company’s growth, it still feels like a family business. You really get the opportunity to grow and develop here,” Marion says.
When asked what message they want to share with the girls on thursday, their response is clear:
“The world is bigger than just healthcare and beauty. A career in technology offers job security—after all, we can’t function without it. And not unimportant: in tech, especially at Wilting, you get the chance to grow and earn a great salary!”
