Supply Chain Planner Ygor

Ygor started at Wilting approximately two months ago as a Supply Chain Planner. Previously, he worked in the video game industry, but he decided to pursue his interests, which ultimately led to his introduction to Wilting. In this interview, Ygor shares his experiences about the application process, the company culture, and why he is so happy with his role as a Supply Chain Planner.

“How did you end up at Wilting?”

“I used to work in a completely different industry, namely the video game industry. Although I found it very interesting and enjoyable, I realized it wasn’t for me. So, I started looking into where my other interests lay, and that was mainly in technology. Additionally, I searched based on location. Which companies are located in my area? That’s how Wilting came onto my radar. I then delved into what they are currently working on, as well as their future prospects, especially in 3D printing. Fueled by my enthusiasm, I sent in my application!”

“How did the job application process go?”

“After applying, I received the good news that I was invited for an interview. I was very happy about this. The first interview was with Jenna and Pleuni. I immediately had a good feeling about it. When I mentioned that I have ADHD, they were supportive and saw it as an opportunity for the company rather than a negative aspect. So, I ultimately chose Wilting because I find what they do interesting, the diversity of people here, and because I really liked the atmosphere during the initial interviews.”

“What do you like most about working at Wilting?”

“What I really like about working at Wilting is the mix of young and old. Everyone respects each other and is eager to learn from one another. The more experienced employees share their knowledge, while the younger ones bring in fresh perspectives. The communication lines within the company are short, and you can just walk in and ask a question anywhere. You can really feel that Wilting started as a family business and is now experiencing growth, but that sense of being a family is still there. Additionally, I appreciate the good work-life balance here. If the work isn’t finished today, you can pick it up again tomorrow morning. There’s no expectation to answer emails in the evenings.”

“What do you find the most interesting aspect of your current role as Supply Chain Planner?”

“The checking whether suppliers deliver everything as agreed, the coordination with various departments, and managing the process to ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain. Every day, you encounter something that can be improved, and that constant pursuit of improvement is what I find the most enjoyable challenge.”

“According to you, what skills are important for a Supply Chain Planner at Wilting?”

“Being able to handle large amounts of data effectively, quick decision-making skills, and attention to detail are crucial. You’re dealing with the entire supply chain here, so you need to have a good overview. When things don’t go as planned, it needs to be addressed quickly.”

“Is there anything else you would like to share with someone who might be interested in applying here?” “I would say, just come in with a very open mind. With any new company, it’s about seeing if you fit in. During the initial conversations, you already get a feel for the company culture. If you like that and find the metal industry interesting, then you’re in the right place!”
