3D Metal printing

At Wilting in Veldhoven, you’ll find the Competence Center 3D Metal Printing of Andra Tech Group. Here, we closely follow the latest developments in 3D metal printing technology and apply them directly in practice. By continuously advancing our expertise in combining 3D printing and machining, we have developed unique knowledge to produce complex components that integrate both techniques.

With over 12 years of experience and six advanced printers in our dedicated printing facility at Habraken in Veldhoven, we are fully equipped for high-end production. 3D Metal Printing is vertically integrated within Andra Tech Group: nearly all processes – from metal powder to assembly – are performed in-house. In Veldhoven, we print titanium alloys (grades 1, 2, 5, and 23) and stainless steel 316L, with additional access to materials such as aluminum, nickel alloys, and copper.

Product development following the Stage-Gate model
- Our product development process is based on the Stage-Gate model, enabling us to ensure both quality and cost-efficiency:
- Design review – Together with the customer, we analyze where technical and cost optimizations can be made.
- Prototype phase – We produce a single part based on customer specifications to demonstrate manufacturability. The part is thoroughly tested and reviewed with the customer.
- Pilot phase – The production process is validated in this phase.
- Volume phase – After successful completion of the previous stages, we begin series production, including the possibility of scaling to larger volumes.

Certified for demanding industries
Traceability and repeatability are essential to us. Because the entire production process is handled internally, we maintain maximum control. Since 2025, we have been ISO/ASTM 529XX certified. Combined with our AS9100 certification, this allows us to serve highly demanding industries such as aerospace and semicon.

A dedicated and versatile team
A team of seven specialists works daily on the engineering and production of 3D-printed components. What sets us apart is that our production team is responsible for the full process—from loading the printers to finishing the final product. This ensures strong engagement and makes the work diverse and technically challenging. All of this takes place within the broader company context, where we work in QLTC teams to serve our customers in the best possible way.
